[WC_STEM] Invitation - Faculty Study Group - 5 spots available

Hi all!

The Whitaker Center is sponsoring a pilot faculty-led "study group" this semester.  Dr. Christina Anaya will be leading a group in working through the book "Student Engagement Techniques : A Handbook for College Faculty" by Elizabeth F. Barkley. For this spring semester, we're looking for about 5 faculty from any STEM discipline who would be interested in meeting once or twice per month to work through the text and learn about integrating active learning into your STEM classroom.  Please contact her directly to become part of the study group (canaya at fgcu.edu<mailto:canaya at fgcu.edu>).  The meeting time is TBD based on the participants' availability, but we are leaning toward Fridays.  This is a small group, so we will be meeting in person.
